Backstory

From a young age, I have always had large expectations on me and my future. In the Manor, I learned to be a lady, how to set the silver just so and iron a shirt properly. My parents believe me to be the perfect daughter, but I am just waiting until the proper time presents itself. I entered Hogwarts 5 years ago and immediately got to work, quickly rising through the in-house court. I am so close to the top now I can taste it. As a fifth year slytherin, I have quite a lot of sway both in and out of the common room. Once I build enough power and gather alliances, I plan to distance myself from my parents and establish my own power. I don't want to be just another pureblood riding on Daddy's coattails.
I want to be a Rune specialist, and have many ideas that would change rune work as we know it. I have expressed this desire to my parents, but they do not approve of me wanting to 'work like a muggle'. I don't want to marry, but the man my parents have chosen has already been drafting contracts. I don't want to be like my mother, trapped in an unwanted marriage rather than following my dreams. My power is still rising, and I will not be forced to submit to these plans for much longer. Our motto is 'gloriam antequam sanguis' , but I plan to follow the opposite.
