Backstory

When I received my Hogwarts Letter that faithful day, I was a little scared, but mostly ecstatic. I’d been waiting for this moment since the time I knew what Hogwarts was! My little brother sometimes played pranks on me. Then I, ever the prankster, would get my revenge with a prank that was ten times worse. Of course, this was before I even learned that we weren’t allowed to do any magic outside school grounds. Anyway, when the day finally came to buy my school materials, my parents gladly went over to the Leaky Cauldron with me. It was a fairly quick trip. After that day, I couldn’t sleep for weeks, dreaming of my first year at the famous school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The morning of August 31st, I awoke bright and early to check that everything in my trunk was in order. Then, Mother brought me to King’s Cross, showed me how to get to Platform 9 3/4, and I was off on my own for the first time.
