Selene Gray

Backstory

Selene Gray was born in a small town to the North of England to a Muggle mother and a wizard father. Though her father worked at the Ministry and conducted regular business in the wizarding world, the family maintained a distance from the magical world, disliking the politics and dangers of such an unpredictable life. As a result, Selene grew up without many friends.
From a young age, she was quiet, compassionate and strangely perceptive, though sometimes distant. Her constant analytics do sometimes slow her interaction with the world around her.
Her first magical experience was unconsciously healing a bird's wing after startling it off her window. Years later, her Hogwarts letter did not surprise her, and if she felt nervous, she did not show it. The wandmaker struggled to place her; eventually, she was chosen by an 11' wand of English Oak and unicorn hair.
On the train, she sat alone, quietly, waiting for the time to pass.
