Backstory

Rylan's parents didn't have the same powers that he possessed, although one of them did have magical blood. Rylan's mother was born a squib and was married to Rylan's muggle father. Because his mother was incapable of using magic, she didn't feel the need to tell her spouse about the art of wizardry. That was, until Rylan was born. It wasn't long before Rylan's mother knew she had a magical son that she would be so proud of. Every time he would laugh or cry, strange unexplainable things would occur. The lights would flicker or items on the table would shake. His magical childhood was quickly interrupted by an outbreak of the wizarding world. Riddled with fear, muggles hunted down witches and wizards with nothing but the intent to harm or kill. To protect her son, Rylan's mother pleaded to her husband that they flee the country. He was confused and questioned her as of why she was so worried and why she wanted to leave. The moment she revealed to him that their son was different, he packed his bags and left for good. Although she was a little upset, she would crawl to the ends of earth to protect her wizard son and that's what she was going to do. She took Rylan and they flew to England together. The last thing Rylan remembered of his mother was her on the phone crying. She pressed her hand against his cheek and walked away, leaving him there all alone. He waited for minutes, hours, and days for her to return. She never did.
