Backstory

(Younger Student) When I received my Hogwarts Letter that faithful day, I didn’t know what it would mean. I wasn't expecting it to be honest. My Father always doubted that I could make this happen. He always thought magic was stupid. Anyway, my name is Daliah. I am a 15 year old Slytherin. This decision was rather immediate. The sorting hat was placed on my head and without hesitation it announced that I was Slytherin. I am a half-blood, same as my mother, and my father doesn't believe in magic, or anything like it. I haven't exactly started my classes yet. I feel that my greatest strength is that I can easily tell when someone is lying to me, more so when we are face to face. I also get really strong feelings about someone fairly quickly after I meet them. Normally my feelings are correct, like when I meet someone I can normally tell if they are someone I should make friends with or stray from. My greatest weakness is that I fall to quickly, and when it comes to love I am kind of blind to my feelings. When I fall for someone I can't tell what kind of person they are. I would like to be a Cosmetologist, but I also want to try to start a school of magic for people who can't afford to go to somewhere like Hogwarts. I want to learn as much as I can so I'll be able to teach others who want to learn. I feel the most fascinating part of magic is that everything you do will come with a price. I would chose to help others with magic rather than benefiting myself. If you were to use magic to help others, karma would work in your favor. I have 2 pets. A dog named Cub, he is a pit-bull but he tends to think he is a lap dog. And a snake named Ezra, he is fairly shy when others are around but will curl up with Cub and I. My father and I never got close. He was never around. About 3 years ago, my mother met Austin, a man who I call dad because that's what he is to me, as he has been more of a father these last few years then mine has been my whole life.
