My name is Thalia Waters, and I'm 15. I'm a half-blood who grew up in a Muggle lifestyle in the United States. My father was born in England, but never got the chance to go to Hogwarts as his parents moved him to the States at an early age. He grew up only vaguely aware of his powers, believing they were a curse on his family instead of what they were. When I received my Hogwarts letter at ten years old, my grandparents chose that moment to confess their wizardly origin to my father. After a lot of arguing, yelling and pleading (me), my parents finally allowed me to go. The Sorting Hat immediately sent me to Slytherin, where I was accepted grudgingly by the predominantly pure-blood population. I'm now Chaser and Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch Team, and I plan to open my own broomstick shop in Diagon Alley after I graduate. For now, my only problems are keeping my grades up, doing well at our next match, and figuring out how to approach the guy I like without looking like a total weirdo *cough* Life is good. ^-^
