Backstory

I hate this place already. I would have been more than fine if I could have been a simple genius like I was back in America. I would have loved to be able to keep my head down like I did at school when my parents moved us out to the rains of north Britain. But alas, it could not be. Now my parents want little to nothing to do with me after finding out that their only daughter is a witch and can no longer be seen among the church choir. That their beautiful little girl they very rarely loved to begin with would not be attending a well paid for boarding school of....what are they called here again? Muggles? Yes, I won't be going to a high scale muggle boarding school, instead I am now a student...no, an unwilling ward, of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Although I must say the food is divine and the energy here is a bit warmer than I had first associated it to be, and the dungeons are as cold as i feel I may grow to be. I still hate it here but at least I can make myself something new without the expectations that my older brothers and sisters have already set for my future and the pressure of my parents trying to make me the third female Prime Minister of the UK. Perhaps the loss of that stress will be good for me. Besides, I've always looked far better in green than the other colors of the rainbow my mother was prone to throwing onto me. I think I very much might like being in Slytherin.
