Backstory

I came to England when I was 5 years old with my family. My father was an engineer who worked in a manufacturing plant. My mother was a nurse. I am originally from Egypt, but my family moved here as my father got his job offer. My parents are both muggles.

Six years later I was enjoying a family breakfast in the early morning of my 11th birthday when the letter came in. It arrived with the morning mail. The heavy yellow parchment envelop got the attention of my mother as she brought in the mail from the hall to the kitchen. She handed the letter to me with a questioning smile. Both my parents and my little 8 years old sister peered in on the letter as I unfolded it and started reading the lines.

At first I thought it as a joke from someone at school. I had two friends whom I could think of that could pull out such an idea to prank me. And I laughed it off. It was when I called both of them to ask who did it, and both of them denied that I started thinking that something was really going on. I talked to my parent who agreed to take the trip to where Diagon Ally is supposed to be, and we were all astonished by how, on the corner where a simple shabby old store existed, we were able to see the leaky cauldron's sign.

Next thing, we were usshered by a group of cooperative wizards to the entrance of Diagon alley, and to the Wizarding bank, Gringots, where my parent, still not believing it, exchanged pounds for gallions, sickles and knuts.

on September the first, I was on Hogwarts express, taking my first step into becoming an educated wizard. And here I am.
