Backstory

When I received my Hogwarts Letter that faithful day, I didn’t know what it would mean. At first I thought it was just a joke, ya know? My little sister sometimes played pranks on me, or blamed me when some weird stuff happened around the house. I knew that there was witchcraft in my blood on my dad's side of the family but the "magic gene" skipped a few generations so my family thought I wouldn't have the gene. In my family the older sibling is the one who almost always gets the gene, well at least that's what the family history shows. My family and I stopped by the Barren Bulldog pub and the sign said “The Leaky Cauldron” instead! For once I thought magic was real all of the magic my family ever told me I thought were stories. The innkeeper was an odd but nice guy, and there were some people to help show us around. The coolest part of Diagon Alley was picking up my textbooks and getting my wand, it just made everything so real. My wand is Chestnut wood with a unicorn hair core and is 10 ½" in length. I have my brown tabby cat Prism with me, and I'm ready to learn. I hope with this knowledge I can become a Magizoologist and someday be as good as Newt Scamander (my role model/hero).
