Backstory

The day of the sorting, the Sorting Hat immediately chose me for the house of Hufflepuff. I knew from the very beginning, I would be a Hufflepuff. People sometimes refer to me as gullible, or too trusting, but I still trust those whom I believe should be trusted, and maybe others, and I tend to always help out those to need it. The first day of lessons, I took an interest in all the subjects, especially Defence Against the Dark Arts and Charms. Lessons like History of Magic I find less interesting, but I believe all subjects in Hogwarts are equally important and essential to know, learn, and study (I know, that makes me sound like a Ravenclaw). I take at LEAST a general liking to all of the subjects and professors in Hogwarts. I was born a pureblood, with a history of wizards and witches in my family. My blood status has stopped others from discriminating me as a muggleborn, but I still believe in standing up for my fellow students regardless of their blood status. Stories of the time Harry Potter clashed with Tom Marvolo Riddle have been told to me when I was younger, and I have idolized the great Harry Potter and the rest of the trio, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. My strengths are located in performing Hex, Jinxes, and Charms, as well as working with fellow witches and wizards. My greatest weakness would be my consistency to trust others. In the past I have trusted others with money, not minding whether they would pay back; coincidentally, they never did. After I graduate, I hope to pursue a carreer as an Auror for the Ministry of Magic. The part of magic I find interesting includes its ability to perfom, from the simple spell to the effects of potions. After gaining knowledge and practice of magic from Hogwarts, I will use it to my daily advantage, from home conviences to the importance of the Ministry. Raven is the name of my Snowy Owl (I understand the irony in the name, but it is meant to be named after my friend), who is very loyal, friendly, and one of my best friends. Despite my attachments to my friends, I believe in putting family before friends. My parents are purebloods. My dad, Ivan Smith, is a Ravenclaw, and my mum, Kaitlyn, is a Hufflepuff, yet I swear she's practically a Ravenclaw too. My parents are proud that I got sorted into Hufflepuff, however other people may think of the house, and I am too.
