Backstory

I'm a first-year Hufflepuff student. My family comes from Kenmare, Ireland, but I've never lived there for any long amount of time. Because my parents are both magizoologists, I spent much of my childhood travelling across the Irish countryside in a carriage drawn by winged horses. We would travel wherever there would be work or research to do for my parents, and I was happy as long as I could practice quidditch (on my play-broomstick) over secluded moors and fields with my older brothers, or read or play Exploding Snap in the carriage on rainy days.

From an early age, I've been used to the freedom of this lifestyle. Hogwarts will be my first time staying in one place for a whole school year, and I know my parents are worried about how I will adapt to rules and routine and having to do things like coming to classes on time.

I'm mostly excited, though. I think my best subject might be Care of magical creatures, but I'm even more eager to learn Transfiguration. And Magical Transportation, because that one has broomsticks in it. And quidditch, did I mention quidditch?
