Backstory
I grew up in Portland, Oregon. I lived with my father, Malcolm, when I received my letter - well, I say 'letter'. My letter came in the form of an Auror, coming to tell me that my father was indeed not my father. It was strange, I had always known about magic and Ilvermorny, though I could never understand why Ilvermorny hadn't wanted me. I was brought here to London, dragged to Hogwarts, and sorted into Ravenclaw. I was sorted privately, in the Headmaster's office, and placed into Ravenclaw. It took the Sorting Hat a little while to make its decision - my heart belonged in Ilvermorny, with Thunderbird house, and I don't think it really knew what to do with my abilities. Anyway, fast forward through my first year of fourth year - strange, I know. I really love Care of Magical Creatures, and Charms. I'm pretty okay at Herbology and Arithmancy, and whilst I'm top student in my year with Potions, I have to say it's my least favourite class. I think I might even prefer History of Magic to Snape's potions.Don't ask me for my blood status - I have no idea. I was told that Malcolm was a pureblood, but that I was taken from a family You-Know-Who had murdered. I'm probably, most likely, very very close to being around the half-blood zone, but I can never know for sure.
I'm currently in my fifth year, and working through my O.W.L.s. I would probably say that my greatest strength is my ability to keep my mouth shut. Literally, in every sense of the word. I can go without eating for days if I'm working on something really important to me. I can keep secrets like you'd never know, and I can bite my tongue when people start spouting ridiculous facts/rumours (I'm not naming any names, coughumbridgecough). On the other hand, I would probably say that my greatest weakness is my inability to stop talking. If I'm in the middle of an argument with someone, I could scream at them for years. I can tell you every single fact about all twelve books that I'm reading, and I can tell stories like it's nobody's business. I tend to get on people's nerves sometimes, but I would much rather be passionate about everything than passionate about nothing.
I think I would like to be either a Magizoologist after school, or maybe just further my writing - I could write for the Daily Prophet, I could write magical fiction? I could be a copywriter. Ooh, or editor for the Quibbler. That would be nice.
I think the most fascinating thing about having magic is my ability to embrace my laziness. The Summoning Charm is my favourite of them all - why get up to fetch something from the other side of the common room when I could just summon it with a flick of my wand? I don't know how Muggles can live the way they do.
I have one cat, her name is Peanut. She's very timid, and likes to snuggle. Honestly, sometimes I think she's really just an animagus - she knows exactly what I need, when I need it. I don't think I'd be able to live without Peanut in my life.
