Backstory

I always knew I was different so when I got my Hogwarts letter, it all just made sense. Being muggleborn, my mother thought the school was a scam. I must have gotten at least thirty letters before my grandpa, who had met a wizard while he was stationed in the war, convinced her otherwise. He was ecstatic about my acceptance. "A witch in our family! Can you believe it Linda?" Is what he told my grandma everyday until we went to Diagon Alley.

Of course, adjusting to the wizarding was a lot harder than I thought— I figured this out upon entering Gringotts Bank. But soon I was wandering from shop to shop with my grandpa, buying my school books, robes, and wand! My mother even bought me a scrawny and mischievous looking black cat, who I had named Loki.

I can't wait to get to Hogwarts! I'm most excited to learn about Herbology and Defense Against the Dark Arts. I'm so excited that I've nearly read all of my school books twice. I've even studied up on the school (not wanting to seem dumb when I get there) thanks to 'Hogwarts: A History', and I really hope to be sorted into Slytherin.
