Juliette Dumont

Backstory

There is a funny anecdote in my family's lore. It says that the most exciting thing to ever happen to a Dumont is when my great-grandfather saw "Carmen" at the Royal Opera House in London. According to the stories, he waved at the famed Edith Coates, Carmen herself, who waved back, but this was never confirmed. That was the most exciting thing that may or may not have happened to our family.

Until, of course, I received my Hogwarts letter. That upended everything I had ever known. The Dumonts are a family of Muggles. We had no idea where the magical blood came from, but I was sorted into Hufflepuff almost immediately after the Sorting Hat touched my head. Now, my favorite class is Herbology, with Astronomy being a close second. My greatest strength is my selflessness, but my weakness is my inhibition. There have been times where I have missed out on something great because I chose to take the 'safe' route instead.

I'm not sure what I want to do with my life, but I am sure that I love animals. I have a black cat with a small patch of white on her chest. I named her Luna. She can be found sitting on my lap or meowing at the birds outside. We are both delighted to be here and eager to learn everything we can to make up for the lost time.
