*The Story of My Wand (An essay I wrote for Charms class):
Growing up in a society full of muggles and just finding out that I was a half-blooded witch was enough to ponder upon but having to find a wand too that would help me in my new magical journey I thought would have been a challenge all on it's own. Until one day while bumping into Sherry, a good friend of mine whom happened to be a magical creations expert in the wizard and witch community recommended that I go straight to Ollivander's Wand Shop. So of course I went there the very next day for I yearned deeply to own a brand new hand crafted wand of my own.

The moment I walked into Ollivander's I was a bit skeptical that I would find my own wand, the wand that was meant for me and only me there had been way too many wands on the shelves to choose from. So of course I started looking through each box, shelf by shelf with so much excitement and hope in my heart.

After several wand boxes later and a smidgen of doubtfulness I noticed in the corner of my eye a stick floating upward and gravitating toward me. It came right to me and swished a flexible flip right into my right hand. I was so amazed and felt a sense of protection come over me while holding my new found friend! After the shopkeeper had witnessed me finding my wand he had told me "I believe this 11 3/4" wand of holly with a core of unicorn hair that moves in a surprisingly swishy manner has chosen you especially among the rest. Take good care of your new companion and it will in turn take care of you and your intended magical purposes".
