Backstory
I was born a Quintaped on the Isle of Drear (see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamandar). I know that sounds bizarre, but it's 100% true. Quintaped name their young based on their shade of fur, so an auburn Quintaped could be named Aubrie or Burt. I was born an albino Quintaped, so my parents named me Oddball. Then, one day the Ministry went on a raid to capture a Quintaped, to turn them back into a human. This time, they succeeded in capturing a Quintaped, and that one just happened to be me. I wasn't really that sad, since (because of my albinism) my parents where the only ones that were really that nice to me. They succeeded in turning me into a human and the albinism carried as well, which was SO great (sarcasm was used in the making of this sentence). The Ministry didn't want the public to know that I am really a Quintaped, so they let me choose a name and gave me place to live. I chose the name Tilly Alin, and I ended up getting to live in a white mansion in a remote part of Africa, with kilometres upon kilometres of wild, savannahish land surrounding it. You see, when I was transformed, I was gifted the ability to talk to any creature, so my land is naturally filled with them. There is a lake filled with Ramora, Shrake, a domesticated Kelpie and a Sea Serpent, fields where Re'em, Dirtcawl, Winged Horses and a Antipodean Opaleye Dragon roam, trees in which Augureys, Fwoopers, Jobberknolls, Snigets and Pheonixes can rest, a small forest that hosts Demiguise and Runespoors, tunnels that are home to a small pack of Jarveys, and a pile of about four large rocks that belongs to an albino Nundu named Chinook (pronounced Chin-uk). Chinook was the first friend I made here in Africa. He was exiled from his pack at birth, because of his albinism, and I was lucky enough to find him, alone and starving, a few miles from my home. Now, what normal humans don't know is that the Nundu's death breath only affects humans and, because I am a Quintaped that was transformed into a human, it does not affect me. Every year, I go to the Isle of Drear and visit my family, and my siblings absolutely love hearing my stories. I was so happy when I received my letter and can't wait to start school!
