Backstory

Penelope. The quiet one who spent time in her room reviewing spells and researching. In a family of 8, it's hard to find any peace and quiet. Especially as the middle child but for Penelope, that's all she had and she loved it. She never did anything wrong and never tried to work around the rules. She ate her vegetarian BLT & apple in her room every single lunch and dinner and ate her omelet on her porch while reading a good book every morning for breakfast. She was a complete angel 100% of the time. If there was one, she would've won the award for calmest person in existence. She would often spend time with her dog, Freddie because he didn't really like Penelope's brothers and sisters. He was a very calm little dog and loved snuggling by the fire, whilst her brother's and sisters preffered to play tag outside or duel and ignore their mother's warnings.

When she was three, her grandmother gave her a beaded necklace that she always kept with her whenever she would go out. She clung to the necklace even tighter after her grandmother died four years later. Her grandmother was the only one who truly understood Penelope. No one else really did except for her friend, Hugo, who lived in South America. They only talked by facetiming each other though every year they went to visit him.

Penelope hardly ever is at home because her and her family always go on a vacation every month and are only home for 2 weeks every month. She has a lot of fun because every so often Hugo gets to come with her family. They take pictures of each other when they go to specific places. They go all over the world, but they spend a lot of time in Iceland since they have a home there too. They go to the local park a lot for the fun festivals and events.

Penelope always loved to go to big, bustling cities like New York or London and she had a love for riding the subway. She loved how there were all different sorts of cultures and people there, sure they weren't always educational experiences, but she did love seeing the different lifestyles of the people.

Penelope always loved going by the water. It was a place of serenity for her and Hugo to go alone. Whenever they would go on trips together, they would eventually find a nice body of water and sit down and talk. It was a great time for her and Hugo to catch up since they live so far away. That time in their vacation always strengthened the bond between Penelope and Hugo. They loved each other like siblings, they would never think of dating each other, but they would do anything for each other. It was a bond that you'd see once in every million.

One time, Penelope had spent too much time on a vacation with Hugo and missed dinner that night. That was the only time she had ever done something out of line, but her mother said that this was a perfect oppurtunity for change. For one week, Penelope had to spend it without reading of any kind. Her brothers and sisters thought this was an unfair punishment, but to Penelope, this was a horrible punishment. Not having any other ideas on what to do, she decided to make a dress. She spent half of her allowence money buying materials and fabric and spent the whole week sewing her brand new dress. Penelope loved her new dress, and not just because she made it, because it was beautiful. It fit her perfectly and it looked like it could be purchased in a store. After that, she continued to make shirts and skirts and even full outfits and found a new hobby.

One day, Penelope decided to get her hair cut short. She had always had it long and never even considered getting it cut short. She had taken very good care of her hair and never had to get it repaired or layered. On the day she went to the salon, Penelope was very nervous. She had never been to get her hair done and didn't know what it was like. After one long, anxious hour, she looked at her hair in the mirror and instantly felt a jump. She loved it. It was better than she could have ever imagined and proudly strut her new hairstyle.
