Backstory
My name is Meridia Crowley, youngest daughter of the Crowley family line. I born in the early morning hours of August 30th, 1995 to Aleister Crowley III and Victoria Yaxley. Growing up amongst the other prominent pureblood wizarding lines, myself and my older sister Ophelia lived a rather lavish lifestyle. During the First Wizard War, both parents were able to escape persecution as Death Eaters, but dark magic greatly permeated my childhood. I was considered a peculiar child, taken to devoting my time to books rather than dolls of other young girls my age. I was considered a clever child; inquisitive and rather cunning, but was taken to sullen tendencies and lacking in many of the “warm-hearted” characteristics of many children. While Ophelia was being groomed for proper customs and courtesies of a well-bred witch, I was more interested in grooming my garden and searching for Bowtruckles amongst the forest that surrounded out manor. At a young age, I found great interest in my father’s research as a Potioneer and took to reading any material I could find on the subject. My interest in plants, potions, and poisons set me apart from Ophelia, who was constantly doted on by our mother. She wished to pursue a career in political journalism like our mother and as such was considered the “favorite child.” Father took me on many of his trips to find rare potion ingredients and praised me for my sharp mind and sharper tongue. I had very few friends but I was not lonely.
