Backstory

I still remember the day I received my letter of acceptance to Hogwarts, my 11th birthday. I am a pure blood, magic has been in my family for over 10 generations! Mother took me to Diagon Alley on the 31st August, to get all of my supplies ready to board the Hogwarts Express the next morning. I was so excited, my older sister will be starting her fourth year of Hogwarts, so I have heard all about the greatness of the school, and am excited to start my lessons, learning all about the magic I'll do. When September 1st came around, I was so nervous, very excited, but so nervous. I finally was able to board that beautiful scarlet train, after all those years of watching my sister go. I said my, emotional, goodbyes to my mother, I am the youngest you see, her baby finally off to Hogwarts. The train journey was spectacular, watching the scenery change from London, to endless trees and fields. My nerves built as we got closer to Hogwarts, further away from home, from everything I knew. I made a friend on the Hogwarts express, and oh how I longed to be in the same house as her. Finally the train came to a halt; we were at Hogsmeade station. I had no idea how I was getting to the school, as my sister had made up such different, and horrifying stories! So I was very surprised to find out that all we had to do was go by boat. I saw something move under the lake, I think it was a mermaid! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the castle up ahead, it was so much more beautiful than I could even imagine! Once inside the Great Hall, my nerves were everywhere, I could feel my hands shaking, I hoped the other students couldn't see! Watching the people in front of me be sorted was amazing, loud cheers from their respective tables, until, finally it was my name called. I sat on the stool and waited for the hat to be put on. It was murmuring in my ear, talking about friendship, and loyalty, until I heard it shout out loud for everyone to hear; "HUFFLEPUFF!" My sister was so surprised, as she was a Ravenclaw, but I always said that she had the brains! I was so excited to start learning, knowing that when I finish Hogwarts, I will be using magic to help others, I dream of becoming an auror. I'm glad that when I started Hogwarts, I had my pet owl, Elladie, with me. She made me feel a little easier about being away from home, knowing she was there with me, in a new, strange place, waiting for adventures to begin.
