Backstory

My name is Mavis, and my mother is a Squib, and my father is a muggle. Ever since my mother found out that she was a Squib, she decided that she would do anything in her power to stay away from magic if it was the last thing she did. So, she married a muggle and gave birth to me, and when I got my Hogwarts letter, mom was outraged. I couldn't wait to go, but since my mother hadn't taught me much about the magical world, I needed to study ahead. I got all of the required First Year books and became a major magical bookworm. After a while of thinking, the Sorting Hat chose Hufflepuff over Ravenclaw and I fell in love with the house. The common room with all of its plants, all of the nice people that I never communed with because of my tendency to be in the library, with my Calico, Zeus! But, although knowing basically everything about the subjects doesn't always mean the best in classes. I absolutely hated Defense Against the Dark Arts because of all of the changing teachers, and Potions would have been fine if it had been run by Proffesor Slughorn the whole year, but Snape just had to teach! Well, although those classes where bad, Care of Magical Creatures just spoke to me no matter what happened. In my first couple of years without Care of Magical Creatures, I needed friends. So I met Justin Finch-Fletchley who was just as big of a book worm as I was, and also didn't know much about magic. While others where out and about on the weekends, we stayed in the library. When we finished our Hogwarts years, we went our separate ways, but still kept in touch. I used all of my knowledge to get into the title of a Magizoologist, which is someone who study's magical creatures.
