Backstory

(Younger Student)
I was not very surprised when I received my Hogwarts letter. Mother was practically jumping in her seat until we got to go shopping for my school supplies. It was entertaining until she almost pulled my arm out of its socket when she dragged me off to Diagon Alley. I do wonder what Knockturn Alley is like, though... I've heard that they have many interesting things there. Anyways, my younger brother was with us as well, even more excited than Mother if that's possible. I would have to say that the best part of our shopping excursion was the bookstore. We have many books at our home, but there are many books that we do not have. I did not get to spend as much time in the bookstore as I wished, but I did pick out many more books than necessary for class. Though, I do not think that I got enough books. I am almost done with half of the books I bought. I am currently reading an Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures. It has many descriptions and pictures. I am also curious about the reasons why the Ministry has classified some magical creatures as thus. I suspect that I will have many questions once I finish reading.
