Backstory

I have an on-going feud with the Sorting Hat. My whole family has been Ravenclaw - much like those pesky Weasleys have all been Gryffindors - but, somehow, I got sorted into Slytherin. I don't quite fit in, nor do I understand why. I think we're sorted too early or that maybe the Hat senses traits we ourselves have not unfathomed yet. Anyway, my family comes from the Scottish Highlands, although we have deep roots in Portuguese territory. My grandparents chose the Highlands for their isolation so they could, you know, do Ravenclaw things like reading and studying. Things I love doing, by the way. But no, Slytherin it is. The downside of our living conditions is that I'm not that sociable. The advantage is that we're located very close to Hogsmeade. Feel free to approach me anytime you need something or just want to chat about nothing at all. I need to improve my social skills. Maybe the Hat knew this and didn't sort me into Ravenclaw as to fight their solitude prone characters. I aim to be a librarian after I graduate. Open up shop with my two little dogs by my side and surround myself with books and knowledge. I hope Slytherin teaches me the means to accomplish this without working too hard.
