Harriet Laughton

Backstory

Harriet Paige Laughton sorted into Gryffindor, though the hat briefly considered Hufflepuff. "hmmm, Harriet, Harriet, Harriet, where to put you.... a kind, loyal friend yes... perhaps Hufflepuff but wait you have courage yes! A daring nature too!" And before I knew it the hat shouted "Gryffindor" and I was stumbling to my seat, a goofy smile on my face.

I grew up with a muggle father and a witch as a mother. Though my father accepted my mother's talent he was adamant on having me go to a muggle school until I needed to go to Hogwarts. I groaned and moaned through muggle school wishing to learn potions instead of science and food tech and defence against the dark arts instead of math. I was always excited for home time crossing off another day off my calendar "only 153 day's to go" I would say and wait in bed that night for my mother to tell me another story about Hogwarts.

My favourite subject at Hogwarts would be charms, potions coming after. I loved all the subjects there and even managed to take a few notes through History of Magic. I was eager to learn more, and more and more. My greatest strength is my determination but my weakness is that if I don't want to do something it probably won't end up getting done.

When I finish school I want to be a Hogwarts professor, maybe a charms professor, passing on my knowledge to students to make their learning experiences and enjoyable as possible. Personally I find the area of charms interesting, how witches and wizards discovered charms and learning new ones myself.

I have a pet owl named Pisces, I got her for my 11th birthday and I love her dearly. Though she can get moody with me sometimes we both know we love each other.
