Backstory
I'm a muggle-born witch, I spent 10 years living with my mom and dad, both mathematicians. They enforced the belief that everything in the world should follow rigid rules and the very notion of magic is ridiculous. Then I got my Hogwarts letter...At first I thought it was some kind of joke when a barn owl showed up pecking at my window, with a letter tied around its leg. But when I read the letter, things started making more and more sense.

On my first day of Hogwarts, I got sorted into Ravenclaw! It was the house I had been hoping for, but I was nervous. What if I wasn't smart enough to fit in with my House-mates? What if I couldn't answer the riddle and got stuck outside the common room? I spent my first evening wandering the halls of Hogwarts, half admiring the ancient architecture and half avoiding the common room riddle. But I finally stopped because I knew I couldn't stay away forever.
