Beatrice Black

Backstory

I'm a second year in Gryffindor. I enjoy reading (a LOT), hanging out with my friends (most of them are in Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, although one is in Slytherin), and caring for my cat/Kneezle crossbreed. My wand is Rowan wood, with phoenix feather core, 12 ½" in length. My sister is Anna Black of Ravenclaw, and my patronus is a red fox.


Anna and I are the pureblood nieces of Sirius Black. It isn't easy, being related to an alleged criminal. When he died, we found out the truth, that the traitor Peter Pettigrew, (A.K.A Wormtail), had betrayed the Potters (James was our Godfather, and Lily was our Godmother), not our uncle, Padfoot. Anna and I were ten when we found out.
I have two half sisters as well. Their names are Adeline Hiller-Black and Maggie Hiller-Black. I have a half-cousin named Tonks Scamander, and she is the niece of Newt Scamander. I met another of my friends when I found out that she is my cousin as well: her name is Kumi Black, and her father is my mother's brother, Regulus.

All of us cousins got our letters inviting us to Hogwarts the same day, and my mother (me and Anna's father had died in the Ministry Battle) sent us there as soon as she could. She often told us "Hogwarts is the safest place."

When I was Sorted into Gryffindor, I was excited, but also a little sad. Anna was Sorted into Ravenclaw, and most of our childhood friends are in Hufflepuff, although one is in Slytherin. Thankfully, I have made new friends in my House, but I will never stop being friends with my old ones.
