Backstory

Hi, my name is Alexander Frensor and I had always suspected from the beginning that I was a wizard, so when I received the letter from Hogwarts, I wasn't very surprised. I was born in Los Angeles to my mother and father near a beach that I loved. It wasn't long before I realized the chemistry between my parents was failing, so I was only slightly shocked when they announced the divorce to me. Before attending Hogwarts, I lived in New York, being abandoned by my mother so that she could pursue her passions and love interests in Los Angeles (I could tell from the beginning she didn't really like me), and I was taken in by my aunt, my mother's sister. My aunt, uncle, and cousins were accepting, supportive, and understanding of the obstacles I have had to overcome, having been deserted by my mother and my father moving away to Europe to escape his wizarding roots, strangely being ashamed of his abilities (and foolishly being oblivious to the location of Hogwarts). My mother was a muggle who was always suspicious of me; strange things always seemed to happen while I was around. I still keep in touch with my father, but I couldn't bear to live with him because I felt a strong desire to pursue magic, while my father felt otherwise. The people I live with now know I am a wizard. I know the concept frightens them. Maybe they're just sending me to Hogwarts so I can get out of their hair. But as long as I am attending, I'll be happy about my prospects.
