Backstory

Hogwarts is a magical place, that is for sure. Honestly, when I first received that fateful letter, I thought it was a trick played on my by a family member. I had always been interested in such things, but I never thought there would actually be a school for it. I loved every single part of getting to Hogwarts, the sleek red train and the cotton candy skies passing by. The night was clear, and the stars but pinpricks in the sky. The castle stood majestically in all it's glory while light seemed to seep from the walls itself. Unfortunately, this would not last. I do not come from any magical families. I am but a humble muggleborn. That fact set me apart from some Purebreeds as they call them. Of course I understood their concerns. I do come from the muggle world, with such vastly different ideas, and many muggleborns have torn their culture apart. So therefore, it was a surprise when I was sorted in Slytherin. Opposite of my expectations, they took me in. Apparently I was somehow deemed worthy by being sorted into Slytherin, despite being of muggle descent. The problem laid not with them, but with many other people. Being a Slytherin and a muggleborn at the same time, was an astonishment to all. Yet for some it was a betrayal. It was foolish what happened. Many muggleborns thought I was betraying them, by being sorted into, as they called it, the "Slimy Snakes." One thing everybody must learn, is that Humans are vindictive, for whatever reason they might hold. If they have a reason to hurt you, they have an urge to hurt you. It isn't impossible to find someone who doesn't have an urge despite a reason, but it isn't very common either. In short, they targeted me. It was ruled an accident, but the people that were around knew it wasn't. There just was no proof. So here I am today. Standing, well, more like floating before you. A shades of gray blob.
