Backstory

When I received my Hogwarts Letter that faithful day, I didn’t know what it would mean. At first I thought it was just a joke, but it was real.
My sister sometimes played pranks on me, or blamed me when some weird stuff happened around the house. How was I supposed to know that it wasn't possible to levitate items in midair? I saw it in a movie and figured I would try it. May the Force be with you.
Anyway, my parents were going to go shopping in London anyway and they figured they would humor me. Boy, the look on their face when we stopped by the Barren Bulldog pub and the sign said “The Leaky Cauldron” instead! I snuck in when my parents got distracted by some family friends they saw, and found that my father, who supposedly died in a car accident, was actually a wizard. Yep, I'm a half-blood. My father was a Silverwood, a pureblood, and my mum is a muggle.
My wand is a beautiful sycamore wood with intricate silver designs containing a phoenix feather. It was really fun picking the wands, but this one stood out to me, and according to the shopkeeper, the feeling was mutual! I had a lot of galleons from my late father, but I intended to keep those safe in Gringotts until I needed them.
I'm new at Hogwarts, and I'm open to making any new friends!
