Backstory

Do not let my surname fool you! I am as Pure-blood as they get. My mother is a Lovegood and my father is a Black by blood, however somewhere up the line one of my ancestors was adopted.
We generally don't speak of that.

My parents are both very well respected within the Magical community. My father, an Auror, has (arguably) the best rating in the department, while my mother spents her time furthering her academic interest in brewing, using her Potions Master degree to implement some incredible creations. My older brother is destined for greatness also; former Slytherin Prefect, former Head Boy. He's currently training as a Hit Wizard, and he's quickly rising in the ranks.

Me? I've certainly always held the Slytherin 'ambition' - one has to to live in the presence of my immediate family - however my ambition is better suited to meeting my family's expectations of me rather than my future career.

Curse Breaking has always been an interest of mine. Since I was a young child I've always been generally 'strange,' my interest in the Dark - and ancient - magics has often led to criticism.
I can't say I care overly much.
When I was younger, all I knew I wanted in a future career was freedom in my magical practises. With Curse Breaking, I can achieve that, as well as work with ancient magics on a daily basis. It's a job which was practically invented for me.

For all of my intellect, I do not have many friends. I do have some, certainly, and I would never go so far as to say my house despises me or has ostricised me in any way (many of them actually respect me, if not at least for my name) but I tend not to get along with many of them.
