I come from a Nomaj family so it came as quite a surprise to be invited to attend Ilvermorny, I spent four years as a Pukwudgie in the American school before I was pulled out for a "family emergency". It wasn't an emergency, my father just did not want a witch in his family. I spent the next seven years bouncing around the States, crashing on other wizarding families' couches until I fell pregnant. With wands in tow, my fiance and I fled to England, where we were to make a new start. Trying to fit in with Nomaj culture was incredibly hard, so when we heard that Hogwarts, the local wizarding school, was now accepting magical students of any age and background, we jumped at the offer. So now, here we are. Adult first-year students, in classes with eleven-year-olds, with a daughter of our own. It is a bit overwhelming and even slightly demeaning, but we are not alone and we are finally with out own kind.
