Backstory

I was born in a pure blood family with a royal lineage; my father was on the road for power and was on the point of gaining the votes of a large majority of the Ministry when my mother was killed. He ignored it, for all he cared about was power, and thus he sent my sister and I away while he gained reputation even across Europe; she, paralyzed and blind after our mother's death, is all I had when coming to study at Hogwarts. Dumbledore's kindness was what saved us from backlash due to our lineage and my father, and thus, we hid in Hogwarts. However, my father's position has allowed him to make the Ministry do his bidding, and he's oppressing the muggle borns, or as he calls them, mudbloods. If only I had power, I could oppose him.
