Backstory

I was the youngest and I knew each year, only longing for that entrancing day when hogwarts was my birthday owl. I was so exited- I even used numerological building blocks to subtract a day every week, from the year leading up to my birthday. It didn't work- but could you truly blame a young wizard lull from trying? Lull is a term I made up while trying to think of a more tender way of saying lass. Girls are gentle and soothing: why should we be called lass? I absolutely abhor that tag! Mum laughs but Ivey just teases me and says, " No. It is correct: boys are to be first and girls are to be lass." He is silly. Anywho- I hope to meet lots of great friends here at hogwarts. Let's all meet in the common room for butterbeer and poplecakes on Friday. Be careful though mum taught me to make them highly emotional- so if you speak about them harshly- they might just blow your bottom lip in two. They're very tasty once they explode if you can make them laugh. I hope to see you all there! Now- off to my very first class at hogwarts! ...I want to be a clock turn early so I can read the chapter before class.....
