Melody Dane

Backstory

My name is Melody Dane. I am a member of the House of Dane, and I am a pureblood. I am a Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, but I come from America and I am a Pukwudgie at the Ilvermorny School of Magic. Because Pukwudgie students are often sorted into Hufflepuff when they transfer, the sorting hat took quite a long time to decide what house I should be placed in. He finally decided on Ravenclaw, and I have since found a home among the scholars and creative minds, although I spend lots of time promoting integration between the houses. I believe that all houses should intermingle, and spread that ideal wherever I can. My family is the Dane family, a famous and prestigious family in America. They are also the owner of the Dane foundation, a foundation that I will one day take over. I am attending school so that I can better learn the art of magic and be able to better use the foundation to aid the wizarding and muggle worlds. I absolutely adore classes such as magic in music and defense against the Dark Arts. I also have to take some business-esque classes for the foundation, but I'm not a big fan of those. It's interesting, but I prefer classes that focus on magic! Since I am a pureblood, I have a reputation to uphold. My mother is incredibly old-fashioned, and does not approve of my promotions to mix the houses and the wizarding and muggle worlds. My Father and I traveled to America, I get my ideals from him, to promote integration. I pride myself in my ability to take charge and be a leader in chaotic and hostile environments. I am a continuing student as I learn more to better take care of the Dane foundation. I think magic can be used to help, and want to change the goal of the foundation to better help others, both in the wizarding world and the muggle world. I want to explore the world and bring magic education to other parts of the world, and I hope to use the foundation to achieve those goals. As I am still a student, I have a barn owl named "Aragorn", to reflect my incredibly nerdy personality and interests.
