Backstory

I am an orphan who has never known real parents. Being bounced back and fourth between foster parents and orphanages I have always been alone. When I turned eleven I was in a foster home with over thirteen children. The letter slipped through the mailbox and was found by some other children before me. They all rushed to see the new shiny letter but when they saw it had my name on it, they ripped it up saying that is was just a bill. Soon more came in and so the foster parent Ms. Snellen sent me back to the government center. The letters kept coming in. I had no idea what any of them had said or if it was good or bad news. The fear and anxiety kept me awake most nights during my stay in Mrs. Addles' home. She was a government worker who's children had already grown up and moved away. The first time another letter came through, she picked it up and smiled. She then sat me down and told me everything she had known about wizards and witches. She told me that her husband was a full-blood and she was just a muggle. Both of her children had attended the school she called Hogwarts. I didn't know what to do, I had no money or heritage that I knew of and apparently there was a school waiting for me. Mrs. Addles pulled me from the government's hands and took temporary guardianship over me until I had managed to either find my own place or some crazy family would adopt me. I am now here studying in a school that I couldn't have dreamed of. Mrs Addles will forever be held in my heart for her selflessness and compassion and pushing me to move on with the little I have and make the most of it.
