Backstory

I'm a sixth year here at Hogwarts, and a proud Ravenclaw, true and tried. I fall into the more "strange smart" category of Ravenclaws, but I've found friends and acquaintances alike. I'm a half-blood witch, so when I got my letter, I wasn't too surprised. We took a plane to London, as I lived in America(my mother insisted I go to Hogwarts anyways). I'd already dreamed out everything I wanted, and my middle-class family settled for the basics. I fell in love with my owl, a northern saw-whet owl which I named Bubo(after Athena's own owl). My mother was a hatstall, so when the Sorting Hat paused I rather expected it. All I asked of it was no not be placed with the foolish Gryffindors-- what a loud bunch! I also didn't believe that I was kind enough for Hufflepuff. Slytherin intrigued me, and Ravenclaw was quite the same. After what seemed like an eternity the hat finally called out Ravenclaw. I was happy with this decision, and now I find myself agreeing with the Sorting Hat. Throughout the years I've found myself liking a many of the courses offered here, from Ancient Runes(I love languages!) to Transfiguration. I don't take a liking to Herbology too much, though, I grew up in America, but was sent to Hogwarts by my parents for my magical education. After I graduate, I look forward to perhaps returning to the muggle word to study their electronics or staying to be a professor here at Hogwarts.
