Backstory

Born in a Dutch muggle family, I grew up with a fascination for non-magical creatures. When I was able to start my magical education on Hogwarts is here,I started to learn more and more about the magical world. Thus, my fascination for animals extended to magical creatures too. Currently, I am combining studying for my muggle Masters degree in nature conservation with my magical education at Hogwarts is here.

The sorting hat initially sorted me into Hufflepuff,, though about a year ago, when I sneaked into the headmaster's office and tried the hat on again, out of curiosity, it said my mind looked more like that of a ravenclaw. So I guess I have traits of both houses.

My wand is 14 1/2 inch, slightly yielding and is made of pear wood and a phoenix feather core. I am very attached to it. Though my area of expertise is (magical) creatures, I do have a fascination for wand lore too.

About a month ago, I finally succeeded in casting a full, corporeal patronus. I had been practicing for ages, so I was so excited when a gorgeous fox ran out of the tip of my wand. It was a truly magical moment for me.
