Cat Rill

Backstory

My name is Cat Rill, and I'm a seventh year Hufflepuff. My best class is Care of Magical Creatures and I plan to go into Magizoology upon graduation. I'm a muggleborn, and as a little kid I always wanted to be a veterinarian (I grew up with Labradors). Now that I'm a little older and can't stand the sight of blood I plan to study and document magical creatures, the likes of which I could only have dreamed of before getting my letter.

I'm doing my senior thesis on Crups, since I noticed their entry in Fantastic Beasts says little about their behavior, and got my Crup license from the ministry over the Summer (and then permission to bring a Crup to Hogwarts. Thanks, Dumbledore!). I adopted the test subject (read: my precious puppy) a couple weeks before term started and just barely managed to housebreak him in time. His name is Hector <3

You can usually find me out on a lawn with Hector if it's warm out, working on training him, or in my common room reading if it's too cold. I also spend a lot of time walking back and forth between the library and my dormitory (gotta get my books somewhere).

After I leave Hogwarts I hope to travel around the UK collecting information on magical beasts for the Ministry. Alternately, I'd quite like to breed Crups and teach other wizards how to properly care for them.
