Backstory

When I received my Hogwarts Letter, I didn’t know what it would mean. At first I thought it was just a joke, ya know? My older sisters sometimes played pranks on me, or blamed me when things would go wrong around the house. How was I supposed to know regular pencils couldn’t write in all the colors of the rainbow? Or that soda bottles didn't just spontaneously explode? Anyway, we were going to go shopping in the big city and my dad figured he would humor me. Boy, the look on his face when we stopped by the Babbling Lampoon pub and the sign said “The Leaky Cauldron” instead! The bar keep was an odd but friendly gent, and there were some people to help show us around. The coolest part of Diagon Alley was picking up a wand at Olivanders. Who would have thought that I would be the owner of a real wand not just a random stick from our oak tree? Mom did a great job hiding her magical talents. No one knew quite what made her unique until that day. One day I hope to be half the witch she was.
