I'm a half-blood witch with a muggleborn dad and a half-blood mom. Despite both my parents being magical, we prefer to do things the muggle way around the house. My grandpa says it Builds Character, whatever that means. While I was born in the city, we have since moved further out into the countryside of Tyne and Wear.

Academically I am interested in a cross-cultural and historical perspective on magic in hopes that it will deepen our understanding of the mechanisms behind it. If you have any ideas on the origins of magic peoples, or ethnographic anecdotes about how magical people interact with muggles around the world, let me know!

IRL I'm currently taking some time off before grad school, I have a Bachelor's in Anthropology and another in Archaeology, but I'm planning on pursuing Health Services Research with a focus on Aging and the Life Course. In the mean time I'm working as a Nursing Assistant with really crappy hours. I also love to sew so hit me up with any questions or if you want to share a project you did. Oh, and I'm not a Geordie, I'm American, sorry to disappoint. Though I have visited Newcastle, it's lovely.
