Backstory

Short, dark hair, and a similar name may throw people off. Hayley Potter's an American unschooler who changed their last name to match their hero. Just like every magical kid living amongst a muggle world, they are having to adjust to a world in which they feel different. Having little structured schooling, they are having to fly under the radar... Never really fitting in either world: muggle or wizarding, but a third ambiguous world created by the unique culture of their family. Hayley likes the idea of magic, but is afraid to use their actual powers. They've learned the hard way that using power creates consequences, and could possibly hurt those around them.

They have an unused seer ability. Usually for small things, like predicting conversations. They had written down a herbology list good for viruses just in case a pandemic hit four years before it actually happened. They like everything animals, magical and otherwise, and especially have an interest in local Sasquatch legends.
