Taylor Hurley

Backstory

My name is Taylor Hurley. I live with my magical family in Canada among a small community of Muggles. My parents were collectors of Muggle artifacts also known as running an Antique Store. I grew up working in it, covertly studying Muggles and "products" they value. As a result, I was home schooled for a number of years, and so am new to formal magical classes. I am eager to learn more about our people in order to have a deeper understanding of where I come from.

I've always known that I, like my parents and siblings, have magical ability. We lived above our "Shop" where we studied the quaint leavings and collectibles of the people and non-magical beasts in the surrounding provinces. We even recently adopted a Pets Allowed policy, whereby we allow Muggles to bring their captive animals with them into our shop as long as they are leashed. This has provided a great deal study material, and much animated supper conversation.

As entertaining and educational as my upbringing has been, it has lacked historical depth and practice of actual magical. Thus, I am eager to study at Hogwarts to broaden my knowledge and skills.
