Backstory

It's always just been me and my dad. At least, I don't remember it ever having been anything else. But, as much as he doesn't like to talk about it, he does remember it being something else. We used to live with my mum in a Muggle community. She had no idea my dad was a Wizard. They were one of those whirlwind summer romances, the kind that involve cigarettes and far-away promises. They got married in the spring and had me a while after. I'm not sure how it went wrong, but I don't ever want to be scared of my own magic like he is.
