Backstory

Hey friends!

My name is Juniper Diggory and I am a 1st year student here at Hogwarts. I'm sure you're all wondering whether my last name is in relation to the infamous Cedric Diggory...and you'd be correct. In fact, Cedric would have been my uncle. His younger brother, Darius Diggory, is my father.

When Voldemort was at the height of his power and ultimately claimed my uncle's life, it shook my family to its core. So you can imagine that when I first received my letter to Hogwarts, my parents were very skeptical about even letting me attend. In fact, my family relocated to the US a few years after the Battle of Hogwarts to get a fresh start at life. My mother is a Muggle and was very adamant about me being raised in a purely muggle world, but it has always been my calling to pursue the world of magic. After much convincing, the ultimately let me follow my curiosity to Hogwarts to carry on the family name and honor my uncle, Cedric. 

I can only hope that my time here will be used to its full potential and that I can pave my own way and make my own mark in history. I hope I can be half the person as Cedric and my father, Darius. I have big aspirations of one day becoming a professor at Hogwarts and then maybe going on to work for the Ministry of Magic. But we shall see where life takes me in the mean time!
