Emma Young

Backstory

Hi! I’m Emma Young (she/her), and I am a Hufflepuff. 

My Appearance:

I have chocolate brown, straight hair that falls to my mid-back, and I usually wear it down. I have russet brown eyes and I’m on the taller side (5’9”!). I have a little bit of an hourglass figure and ivory colored skin. Normally, you can find me wearing a white button-up, a yellow plaid tie, a dark grey sweater vest with a small Hufflepuff emblem on the left, a black knee-length skirt, some black ankle-length socks, some black flats with a buckle, and two gold rings on my right hand with one gold bracelet on my left wrist. I also have a high-pitched voice that is definitely American but is more neutral than coming from any particular region.

A Little About Me:

I am a half-blood! My dad is pureblood and went to Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the States. He met my mom (a Muggle) on a trip to Boston one day with his buddies and completely fell in love. Eventually, they had me! My dad got called up to work as an auror at the British Ministry of Magic, but I was already enrolled in school in the States. I ended up staying with my mom in the States, but we visited my dad in London every holiday! With my dad’s position, I got accepted to Hogwarts and decided to go there instead of Ilvermorny. 

Magical Things:

My wand is sycamore wood with a phoenix core, unbending flexibility, and is 14 ½ inches long. My patronus is a dolphin! My favorite class is definitely Charms, but Defense Against the Dark Arts also holds a special place in my heart. Potions and Herbology are my least favorite classes, but I always enjoy learning nonetheless. My favorite magical animal is the puffskein (literally the cutest thing I’ve ever seen). 

Personality:

Obviously, I have the main traits of Hufflepuff (the sorting hat is never wrong!), such as being a hard worker, dedicated, and kind. Taking after my father and the Pukwudgie house at Ilvermorny, I am also compassionate, patient, and responsible. I greatly value schooling, and you can often find me in the library at any given hour during the day. I am a bit of an overthinker, often fidgeting with my jewelry when I’m nervous or thinking. I’m normally quiet, especially in large groups, but one-on-one, I become a lot more animated. Splitting my time between the States and Britain, I often confuse American and British things or even Muggle and Magical things.
