Backstory

Hello, everyone! My name is Tom Wilson, and I’m thrilled to be a part of the Hogwarts is Here community. As the manager of Leicester Tree Services, I spend my days working with trees, hedges, and all things nature, but I’ve always had a deep love for the magical world of Hogwarts. Growing up, I was captivated by the adventures of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, and I often imagined myself wandering the halls of Hogwarts, casting spells, and tending to the magical plants in the Herbology greenhouses. Joining this platform feels like a dream come true, a chance to connect with fellow fans and explore the wizarding world in a whole new way. I’m excited to share a bit about myself, my passion for trees, and how I think my skills as a tree surgeon might fit into the magical realm of Hogwarts.

I’ve always felt a strong connection to nature. As a young boy, I loved climbing trees, building forts in the branches, and watching the leaves change with the seasons. That love for the outdoors grew into a career, and now I lead a team of skilled tree surgeons at Leicester Tree Services. We help people with tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and more, always striving to keep safety first and care for the environment. I find so much joy in working with trees, whether I’m carefully pruning a branch to help a tree grow stronger or clearing a site to make way for new projects. There’s something magical about being out in nature, feeling the breeze, and knowing I’m helping to keep our surroundings healthy and beautiful.

When I first heard about Hogwarts is Here, I couldn’t wait to sign up. The idea of taking classes, learning spells, and diving into the wizarding world was too good to pass up. I imagine myself as a Hufflepuff, with their loyalty, hard work, and love for plants and creatures. I think my skills as a tree surgeon would be useful in Herbology, where I could help tend to magical plants like Mandrakes or Devil’s Snare. I’d love to learn how to care for these incredible plants, making sure they grow strong and healthy, just like I do with the trees in Leicester. The thought of combining my real-world skills with the magic of Hogwarts fills me with excitement.

At Leicester Tree Services, we take pride in being professional, efficient, and caring. My team and I work hard to help our clients, whether they need a tree removed, a hedge trimmed, or a stump ground down. We serve all areas of Leicester, from the city center to places like Oadby, Braunstone, and even Loughborough. Our goal is to make sure every job is done safely and with respect for the property and the environment. I love meeting new people, hearing about their needs, and finding the best way to help. It’s rewarding to see a job well done, whether we’re clearing a site for a new building or shaping a hedge to look just right.

I often think about how my work might connect to the wizarding world. At Hogwarts, I’d imagine using spells to help with tree care, perhaps a charm to make branches lighter or a potion to help a damaged tree heal. I’d love to take Herbology classes here and learn from Professor Sprout about magical plants and how to nurture them. I could see myself working in the Hogwarts grounds, keeping the trees around the castle healthy and strong, maybe even helping Hagrid with some of the trickier plants in the Forbidden Forest. The idea of blending my love for trees with the magic of this world is something I think about often, and being part of Hogwarts is Here lets me explore that dream.

Safety is a big part of what I do. Trees can be heavy, and tools like chainsaws and stump grinders need to be handled with care. At Leicester Tree Services, we follow strict safety rules to protect our team, our clients, and the surroundings. I think this focus on safety would carry over to Hogwarts, where I’d be careful with spells and magical tools to keep everyone safe. I’d love to learn more about protective charms and how they could help in my work, both in the real world and in the wizarding one. The thought of combining my experience with the magic I’m learning here is exciting, and I’m eager to see where this journey takes me.

I’ve always believed in doing things the right way. In my work, we focus on quality, making sure every job is completed to the best of our ability. We offer free inspections to help people understand what their trees or hedges need, and we work quickly and efficiently to get the job done. In Leicester, the cost of tree services can be a concern, but at Leicester Tree Services, we strive to offer fair prices while delivering top-notch work by our skilled arborists. I think this approach would fit well at Hogwarts, where hard work and dedication are valued. I’d bring the same care and effort to my studies here, whether I’m learning a new spell or helping with magical plants.

The environment is close to my heart. At work, we try to recycle and reuse as much as we can, turning branches into wood chips or donating materials when possible. I love the idea of a sustainable future, and I think Hogwarts has a lot to teach me about that. Maybe there are magical ways to help trees grow stronger or to clean up after a storm without harming the land. I’d be thrilled to learn about potions or spells that could help the environment, and I’d love to bring those ideas back to my work in the real world. Being part of this community lets me think about these possibilities in a new and exciting way.

I’m so grateful to be part of Hogwarts is Here. This platform brings the magic of the wizarding world to life, and I love the chance to connect with others who share my passion. I imagine myself spending hours in the library, reading about magical plants and creatures, or practicing spells by the lake. I’d be excited to join a study group, share ideas, and learn from others. My work as a tree surgeon keeps me busy, but being here feels like a chance to step into a world of wonder and imagination. I can’t wait to see what classes I’ll take and what new skills I’ll learn.

In my day-to-day life, I lead a team of talented people who share my love for trees and nature. We work together to tackle all kinds of projects, from removing a tricky tree to grinding down a stubborn stump. Leicester is a wonderful place to do this work, and I feel lucky to serve the community here. At Leicester Tree Services, our tree surgeons are trained and certified, ready to help with any task, big or small. We cover all areas, from Highfields to Wigston, and we’re always happy to offer a free inspection to get started. I love seeing the difference we can make, whether it’s clearing a lot or shaping a hedge to look its best.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is the importance of listening. Every client has different needs, and I take the time to understand what they’re looking for. That might mean pruning a tree to let more light into a garden or turning branches into wood chips for mulch. I think this skill would help at Hogwarts too. I’d listen to my professors, ask questions, and work hard to understand the lessons. I’d love to learn more about the magical properties of plants and how they can be used in potions or spells. The idea of discovering new ways to care for nature, both in the real world and the wizarding one, is something I’m eager to explore.

I’ve been in this line of work for over 20 years, and I still love it every day. There’s something special about being outside, working with my hands, and making a difference. My team and I have handled all kinds of jobs, from small garden tasks to big site clearances. We bring experience, skill, and a commitment to doing things right. I think these qualities would serve me well at Hogwarts, where I’d approach my studies with the same dedication. I’d be excited to learn from the professors, practice new spells, and maybe even help keep the grounds looking their best.

Being part of Hogwarts is Here feels like a chance to grow in new ways. I’ve always loved learning, and this platform lets me dive into a world I’ve dreamed about since I was a kid. I can see myself sitting in a Herbology class, learning how to repot a Mandrake, or studying in the common room with fellow Hufflepuffs. My work with trees has taught me patience, care, and the value of hard work, and I’d bring all of that to my time here. I’m excited to take classes, earn points for my house, and maybe even try my hand at a few magical projects.

I’d love to connect with others in this community. If you’re interested in Herbology, magical plants, or just want to chat about the wizarding world, feel free to reach out. I’m eager to learn from all of you and share what I know. My work at Leicester Tree Services keeps me grounded in the real world, but being part of Hogwarts is Here lets me explore a world of magic and wonder. I can’t wait to see what adventures lie ahead, and I’m so happy to be here with all of you. Let’s make this journey a magical one!
