Backstory

My backstory:

I'm just here to research a specific topic, but I might actually get really into this website and decide to enroll in more than just DADA. I'm currently working on something hp-related and need more canon sources, so when I found this website, you can imagine my excitement, haha. I might post my project in the Hogwarts Library when I am done. I use she/her pronouns if you wish to speak to/about me directly. If you would like to roleplay with 'Lycan Moon', they use any pronouns (the OC behind the pseudonym prefers she/her but would do anything to remain anonymous, lol, and Lycan sounds like a more masculine name so she really doesn't care when people use he/him with/for Lycan bc she isn't Lycan yk). Ask me anything about werewolves (in Harry Potter) and I can answer, as I've been studying them for months now (and when I looked through the hogwarts library and read a few books on werewolves I cringed so hard lol but I'm gonna use some of them anyway, but as opinions and myths). (I would love to roleplay as 'Lycan Moon' or perhaps roleplay as the OC behind the pseudonym acting as if she is 'Lycan Moon' so owl me if ur interested ^_^)

OC backstory:

Lycan Moon wrote a self-help book called "Understanding the Magic and Mystery Behind Our Curse: A Werewolf's Guide to Finding Community, Purpose, and Control in the Magical World" (UMMBOCWGFCPCMW). The book aims to educate both the general public and werewolves about their true nature, advocating for a better future for all. It addresses the stigma surrounding werewolves and provides logical reasoning, along with tips and tricks for managing full moon transformations. When the book first circulated at Hogwarts, some students speculated that Lycan Moon was a fellow student, but the true identity of the author remains unknown. The Ministry of Magic banned the book upon hearing about it, which drew public attention. Despite the ban, the book spread rapidly and gained attention, leading to changes in beliefs among witches and wizards. However, it also strengthened the positions of anti-werewolf groups due to its discussion of the enhanced capabilities of werewolves in everyday life and their magical advantages. This information was used as proof to justify fear and social stigma against lycanthropes. The book sparked debates and disagreements, earning both praise and criticism for its content.
