From the moment she first held her, Isabel saw the same promise in her young niece.

Carmen's upbringing was different from that of a typical child. Rather than being brought up in one household, she grew up in different locations across the globe. Isabel's job led them to the ancient pyramids of Egypt, the mystical temples of Tibet, the deep jungles of South America, and the frozen landscapes of Siberia.
