Note: You'll see my profile listed as a first year, but in my bio it says second year. This is because I have done all required assignments of my first year core classes, and am awaiting my grades to move up years.

Bio

I'm a UK student, so it's only natural I receive my education from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Although I was expecting it, I couldn't believe my luck when I got my Hogwarts letter, finally able to learn about a world I'd only had glimpses into before. I was born to a Muggle mother and Wizard father. I was raised in a Muggle-like household, as my parents knew I would eventually learn about the wizarding world, so decided to make sure I was well acquainted with the Muggle world before that. I like to think the mix of perspectives makes me a better witch for it. 

In my free time, I am an avid language learner; I am a native English speaker, but I speak/am learning Spanish (C1), Russian (B1.5), French (B1.5), Japanese (N3), Italian (B1), and Welsh (A1). You can count on me to always check the etymology of spell incantations. Other than that, I am a huge bookworm and enjoyer of 70s and 80s music. 

My biggest aspirations for my time in Hogwarts are to either become a Prefect or Head Girl of Ravenclaw house. As for career aspirations, I think I'd like to be a professor one day, but I haven't advanced far enough in my studies to know which field interest me most; Ancient Runes catches my eye, I will admit. I'm quite academically inclined, and naturally curious. On my page, you'll find me posting some of my thoughts into the void, usually questions I have about a class that I think might come up later, but I want to keep in mind. Feel no pressure to answer them, but you can if you want to.

I'm a proud Ravenclaw, but one interesting thing about me is that I was the only hatstall in my year! It was between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, and I'm proud to be in my current house, just as my father was, though am just as proud of my two Slytherin sisters. Of course, we shouldn't let our house define us; I believe we all possess traits of each Hogwarts house, though in differing degrees, and should strive to have a balance of each one.
