Backstory

(Younger Student) When I received my Hogwarts Letter that faithful day, I knew just what it meant--or, at least I think I did. My brother used to like staying up all night every summer to tell me horror stories about Hogwarts, like how the ghosts would sit on your chest while you slept, or how all the teachers vomited spiders and slugs. One night, his stories were scared me so much that I cried a little bit, but my voice came out in a scream that shattered all the windows and the wine glass mother was holding. Mother and Father told him to stop harassing me and for me to stop listening to him.

Anyway, our parents took me and my brother to the Leaky Cauldron a few days after I got my letter! The innkeeper was an odd but friendly man who chatted with my father for what felt like hours before we all piled into Diagon Alley. The coolest part of Diagon Alley was picking up all the textbooks; I just love reading! I might finish with “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” before school even starts!
