Autumn Alder

Backstory

I grew up in a muggle household, my father was a literature professor at a nearby university and my mother owned a bookshop. Books had always been a part of my life, and I was reading from a very young age. I never lost my love of reading and particularly enjoyed books with fantastical worlds. For years I read about girls who went on magical adventures, but I never thought it would happen to me. And then my letter came in the mail. Looking back, I had shown signs of magic but I never truly believed it. When I wasn't reading a book or in school, I was practicing my cello. I've been playing for five years now and it's something I'm very passionate about. I'm hoping there are opportunities to continue playing here at Hogwarts. I've always been invested in school and try my best to understand everything that's taught to me, so it was a bit of a surprise when I was sorted into Hufflepuff. I had done a little research beforehand (out of curiosity) and was sure I'd be a Ravenclaw. I suppose you can't argue with the hat though.
